This beautiful pen is created using black walnut wood using the .30 cal bolt action pen kit. Heartwood can range from a lighter pale brown to a dark chocolate brown with darker brown streaks. Color can sometimes have a grey, purple, or reddish cast. Considered a premium domestic hardwood, prices are in the high range for a domestic species.
The pen is refillable, using Parker style refills, which are available at many locations, including WalMart, Walgreens, or other office supply stores. The pen comes in the featured molded, hard plastic, rifle style case.
